SHOW NOTES
Episode 8 - Stamp Act Reaction / Declaratory Act
The Declaratory Act made clear that it had "full power and authority to make laws and statutes of sufficient force and validity to bind the colonies and people of America, subjects of the crown of Great Britain, in all cases whatsoever."
In addition, the act stated that "all resolutions, votes, orders, and proceedings" in the colonies that denied or questioned Parliament's power and authority to make laws binding the colonies "in all cases whatsoever" were "utterly null and void."
This show we discuss the Stamp Act reaction from the colonies and colonists and explore some events that you likely haven't heard about.
